Waimea Nurseries is committed to the development and long-term future of the feijoa industry in New Zealand. Choosing the best performing varieties available to us, we supply feijoa growers with trees we know will give a good return for years to come.
One of our key areas of interest is in variety development. Together with our subsidiary Waimea Variety Management, each new variety is tested for its suitability to our growing conditions and all of the varieties we sell have been proven commercially.
In addition to our proven varieties, we are pleased to be able to offer three varieties available exclusively through Waimea Nurseries. These varieties have been developed by Roy Hart, a well-respected, long-standing developer of feijoa varieties. For more information about these varieties, see our varieties page .
Your choice of which feijoa variety to invest in depends on your location and growing conditions. We recommend that you plant three to four cultivars to cover the pollination issue and spread the harvest time and market options.
