These pears create opportunities to supply during the time which is currently being filled by imported fruit. The ripening of the varieties is staggered to provide continual supply over several weeks. All varieties show excellent storage and handling properties, with the red blush increasing with cool storage up to 30% of the fruit surface on Carmen, Norma and Turandot.
